I guess consistency comes easily when you are enjoying the process. After a long time, I’ve started enjoying writing this newsletter so much that even though I’m sick, I couldn’t resist sitting down to write it. Hopefully, you’ll enjoy reading it just as much.
But enough about me, let’s talk about pineapple.
Yes, pineapple
Because one random day this week, my new manager casually dropped a fun fact that blew my mind: in most parts of the world, pineapple is actually called “Ananas.” Even its scientific name is Ananas comosus.
Usually, fruits have different names in different places. But with “Ananas” that’s not the case.
And it’s called pineapple because it is like a pine cone from the outside and an apple from inside(it’s not, I don’t know how they ended up at that conclusion).
Bad Doors & Habits
I’ve been reading “The Design of Everyday Things”. And I got to know that the writer of this book Don Norman, was so sick of bad doors and complained so much about it. The doors that are not designed well enough are now called “Norman Doors”.
I guess I should also start complaining about things. It worked for FoodPharmer. Might work for me as well.
Speaking of complaints, opium farmers have a big one, and that’s parrots. Turns out parrots love opium just as much as humans do. They raid farms, eat the opium, and fly off high as a kite. Farmers even tried blasting loudspeakers to chase them away, but the parrots are too addicted to care. This isn’t new news, but I stumbled across it recently and couldn’t stop laughing.
What’s going on in my life
I am sick due to some bad decisions I made (those who know me can take a guess), and I am not proud of it. I can’t say it out loud because my mom read my newsletter.
Sooooo, to get my life back on track, I am going back to the gym and also starting to make reels properly. I have kinda already started:
With making reels, I just don’t know whether it should be entertainment, marketing or something else. I guess I will get the answer along the way.
And before I sign off, here’s a little throwback gift: a Shinchan video I watch every year. It never fails to hit me right in the nostalgia.
I know the newsletter was short this time. But I am too sick to care.
So, goodbyee!!!
Dhyan rakho
Take care Tushar!
